About Cedar Shack

The Rusty Bucket glowing beneath the cedar trees at night

Cedar Shack started as a little place in a backyard on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.

Built from reclaimed wood, old furniture, and things collected along the way, it became somewhere to sit with friends, share a drink, tell a few stories, or simply enjoy a quiet evening.

Nothing particularly remarkable. And maybe that's what made it special.

Over time, we realized that the things we enjoyed most weren't always the big adventures or extraordinary destinations. Often, they were the people we met, the places we returned to, and the little experiences that stayed with us.

That's what Cedar Shack is about.

We celebrate the people, places, and experiences that make life meaningful. Sometimes that means getting out and exploring. Sometimes it's gathering around a table. And sometimes it's finding a quiet place to return to.

Along the way, we'll share stories, introduce you to interesting people, and bring together a few things we've found or made that feel like part of that life.

There's no particular way you need to live to belong here.

Just come as you are.

Gather. Explore. Return.
